About Louisa Construction
Doing the Work Utilities Depend On Since 1991.
Louisa Construction Company has provided site preparation and rough-terrain access for electric utility and energy distribution infrastructure for more than three decades. Our work is focused, our methods are disciplined, and our commitment to safety is built into every project we take on.
Our History
Founded in 1991.
Louisa Construction was founded in 1991 with a focus on the specific demands of utility infrastructure construction. From the beginning, the company has concentrated on site preparation and access work in challenging terrain — the kind of conditions that require careful planning, the right equipment, and experienced crews.
Over more than three decades, that focus has remained consistent. We work in the electric utility and energy distribution industry because we understand its requirements. The terrain is often steep, the access is often limited, and the schedule is often critical. We are built for exactly those conditions.
Our work spans Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, Ohio, and Virginia, with availability for projects outside those states when the scope and conditions are a fit for our capabilities.
What We Do
Specialized in Utility Infrastructure.
Louisa Construction's work is concentrated in a specific part of the construction industry: site preparation and access for electric utility and energy distribution projects. That specialization shapes everything about how we operate — the equipment we maintain, the training our crews receive, the safety protocols we follow, and the way we approach project planning.
Site Preparation
Grading, clearing, and conditioning sites to meet the specific requirements of utility construction projects.
Access Roads
Construction of temporary and permanent access roads through rough terrain, enabling equipment and material movement to remote utility sites.
Right-of-Way Clearing
Vegetation removal and corridor preparation along utility rights-of-way, performed to project specifications and environmental requirements.
Excavation
Precision earthmoving and excavation work supporting foundations, trenching, and site development for energy infrastructure projects.
Safety
Safety Is Not an Add-On.
Every Louisa Construction employee has completed OSHA 30-hour training. A dedicated Safety Director oversees field operations. Job Hazard Analyses are completed before work begins on every project. Safety planning is built into how we work — not added on afterward.
Service Area
Where We Work.
Louisa Construction primarily serves projects across Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, Ohio, and Virginia. We are available for projects outside these states when the scope and conditions are a fit for our capabilities.
